Gift Africa Program
Soccer for Dreamers
Soccer for Dreamers is the heartbeat of Gift Africa. It is where our story began.
In 2022, three brothers, Baruch, Jed, and Kayden Akwaboah, began a simple mission to collect gently used soccer equipment and donate it to young athletes in underserved communities across Ghana.
Having lived in England, Singapore, and the United States, soccer had always been a central part of their lives. They had seen how access to proper coaching, facilities, and equipment can build confidence, develop talent, and open doors to life-changing opportunities.
As they travelled through Ghana, they met young athletes with undeniable passion and determination, yet limited opportunities. For many, the journey ended before it could begin because access was missing: cleats, jerseys, balls, safe places to train, and the simple chance to play.
No young person's dream should be determined by circumstances beyond their control. That is why Soccer for Dreamers exists. We believe talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Our mission is to remove barriers, equip young athletes with what they need, and create pathways for every child to dream boldly and play with confidence.
Our impact so far
